PowerPoint presentations… they’re everywhere! For years now, it’s been the de-facto standard for communicating ideas, information and for developing sales presentations.
PowerPoint by itself though has traditionally been used as a face-to-face tool only. Step 1. Arrange schedules. Step 2. Re-arrange schedules. Step 3. Everyone travel to meeting location. Step 4. Death by PowerPoint. Step 5. Adjourn, and immediately forget what you just saw.
OK, that’s a rather pessimistic viewpoint, but I’m sure at least a few of those steps occur in your process.
The fact is, today, people want to obtain the information as they need it, and exactly when they need it. Nobody wants to be pinned down to a specific date/time/location to view presentations anymore. They want to click on something, and see it right then, and then come back to it later when they want more of it, or to get a refresher.
The problem is, there is no excitement behind viewing a PowerPoint presentation that was just emailed to you. Nothing but bullet points with no textual explanations, or audio narrations from the presenter.
Here is one way to convert PowerPoint for web delivery, add closed caption text, and passionate voice narration from the original presenter.
How are you accommodating busy schedules, flexible work hours and locations when you want to present information?
